Accountant
We are seeking a full-time accountant who feels called to support the mission and ministry of the church through faithful financial stewardship. This role plays an essential part in ensuring that resources are managed with integrity, transparency, and wisdom so that the work of ministry can flourish and lives can be impacted for God’s glory.
Key Responsibilities - Work with a Team:
- Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and statements
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial procedures
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency with QuickBooks accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
