|| Drive with a purpose at Tru Community! We are looking for a PT driver to join our team. We offer competitive pay rates, paid training, PTO, a positive work environment, and professional development opportunities. || - Position Title: Driver - Reports To: Program Director - Position Status: Part-time position (10+ hrs/wk) - Availability: Routinely works Monday through Friday 7:30-9:30am and/or 1:45-3:45pm (hours may vary based upon the needs of our members). - Pay: $19.00/hr || Job Summary: || The Driver plays a vital role in enabling individuals to participate in a vibrant community full of purpose, growth and connection at our Day Club. As a driver, you get to share in the lives of wonderfully-made individuals and promote their quality of life by providing them with safe, timely and consistent transportation to/from Tru Community’s Day Club. || ||Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:|| - Be a positive, attentive, and caring presence in the lives of the individuals we serve - Complete transportation routes in a timely, safe, and professional manner - Follow organizational procedures for incident reporting and service documentation - Adhere to all safety requirements related to the use and maintenance of company vehicles - Ensure the rights and dignity of individuals are respected and upheld at all times || Education and Work Experience: || - High school diploma or equivalent (Required) - Must possess a valid driver’s license in good standing, reliable transportation - A passing score on driver’s abstract - Previous experience in providing direct care or services to persons with developmental disabilities is preferred, but not necessary Skills and Abilities: - Ability to pass BCI/FBI background check, database checks, and drug screening - Ability to complete CPR/First Aid/AED training - Satisfactory professional reference checks - Reliable attendance record; follow procedures for rescheduling or calling off - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals and families - Ability to lift 50 pounds and traverse in a variety of environments ||Tru Community complies with applicable state and local laws governing nondiscrimination in employment.
