The Cost of Membership
Church membership is a vital expression of the gospel and a gift meant for the good of believers and the health of the church. Hebrews 10:19–25 shows that the local church is a particular gathering marked by faith, hope, and love, grounded in a shared confession of Jesus Christ. Membership is not about pressure or guilt, but about being drawn to the beauty of what Christ has created. Through Christ’s costly sacrifice, believers are brought near to God and to one another, experiencing the fullness of life together in the body of Christ.
