The Heart
Proverbs teaches that the heart is the true center of our thoughts, desires, and choices, shaping everything we do. Rather than simply following our feelings, we are called to guard our hearts with wisdom and honesty about our sin and need. Left to ourselves, our hearts are misdirected, but because of the gospel, we have hope: through Jesus Christ, God changes hearts from the inside out. As we behold his glory, our desires are reordered, and our lives are redirected toward Christ, who alone gives a new heart and a new way of life.
