Father Abraham Had Many Sons
From the beginning, grace has always been the foundation for salvation. In Galatians 3, Paul uses Abraham as a decisive witness against legalism, showing that Abraham was counted righteous because he believed God, not because he kept the law or received circumcision. God’s covenant promise was unilateral and gracious, it required nothing from Abraham except his belief. Therefore, Abraham’s true children are defined not by ancestry or outward marks, but by trusting Christ. Believers today share the same promise, the same righteousness, and the same family by grace alone, through faith alone, and because of Christ alone.
