Privileges, Power, and Promises
In the opening of his second letter, Peter reminds believers of the blessings we have in Christ. Through the gospel, we receive the wondrous privilege of knowing Christ, the power that comes from life in him, and the promises assured to those who trust in him. Though we have no righteousness of our own, we have received the gift of faith on account of Christ’s righteousness. Because God has provided everything we need for life and godliness through the knowledge of his Son, Jesus Christ alone is everything we will ever need.
