A Model for Shepherd Leadership
During his missionary journey throughout Macedonia and Greece, Paul gives a charge to the elders of the Church in Ephesus, calling them to model gospel leadership. Paul implores the elders to follow his example—living closely with other believers, leading with humility, and preaching with both audacity and simplicity. Paul is steadfastly committed to the authority and sufficiency of God's word. He teaches that gospel leadership means being committed to a simple yet profound message—the supremacy of God in Christ Jesus, and the salvation that is found in him alone.
