Citizens of Heaven
How can we remember and live out our heavenly citizenship while living here on Earth? In his letter to the Philippians, Paul answers this question by encouraging believers toward three things. First, to look to fellow citizens, and imitate them as they imitate Christ. Second, Paul points to our hope in the future—that Christ will return, and on that day, every wrong will be made right, and every hurt will be healed. Finally, because of this future hope we can stand firm in the faith, knowing that our past has been covered, and our future is secure.
