To Live Is Christ, and to Die Is Gain
The trials and afflictions of this life stir within us a deep longing for heaven and for the renewed bodies promised to all who believe. In 2 Corinthians 5, Paul encourages us to walk by faith, not by sight, reminding us that we need not fear death—for to be away from the body is to be at home with the Lord. Because of Christ, we have been given new life, free from the shame, guilt, and punishment our sins deserve. In light of this grace, may we fix our minds on things above and live each day for him in gratitude.
