Being Shaped by the Gospel
Sound doctrine is not just about information, but transformation. Through his letter to Titus, Paul writes to protect believers both from being influenced by secular culture, as well as from falling into legalism and cultural withdrawal. Sound doctrine not only saves us, but shapes us into the people of God—people who are zealous for good works. Because of Christ, our sins—past, present, and future—are no longer the measure of our condemnation, but the measure of his great love for us. There is no sin that is too great for his inexhaustible grace.
