Shaped by the Gospel: Adopted
In Romans 8, Paul explains that through the gospel, God adopts us into his family. Adoption is the highest privilege of salvation—greater even than justification—because it makes us beloved sons and daughters of God. By faith, we receive a new Spirit who assures us of our identity, a new Father who invites us to cry “Abba,” and a new Brother, Christ, who shares his inheritance with us. This truth reshapes everything—our relationships, our worship, our mission, and our daily lives. To be Christian is to live in the joyful assurance of being God’s children and co-heirs with Christ.
