Dependent Through Prayer
Prayer is an expression of dependence—a confession that God alone can do what we cannot. In 2 Thessalonians 3, Paul calls believers to pray for the rapid spread of God’s Word, for protection from evil, for grace-empowered obedience, and for steadfast perseverance in Christ. At the heart of this passage is a truth that anchors every prayer: “The Lord is faithful.” We can therefore pray with confidence—trusting that he will protect and strengthen us, directing our hearts toward his steadfast love and Christ’s enduring example. True prayer flows from trust in God’s unchanging faithfulness.
