A Light in the Darkness

Morning Service
Dec 21, 2025

Every song has a story, and Zechariah’s song is born from a long season of silence, waiting, and reshaped faith. In Luke 1, Zechariah’s Benedictus rises after months of discipline, revealing a heart transformed by God’s faithfulness. The song celebrates three great truths: God comes to rescue helpless people, God keeps ancient covenant promises, and God shines light into deep darkness. The Incarnation shows that salvation is not self-made but God-initiated. Through the coming Messiah, God shines light into a dark and weary world, guiding lost and sinful people from the shadow of death into peace, mercy, and hope.
