The Greatest Treasure
The human heart, by its very nature, was designed to worship. What we value in life reflects what we treasure in our hearts. In Matthew 13, Jesus uses two parables to demonstrate the incomparable value of the gift of salvation—showing that he himself is the greatest of all treasures. The more we treasure Christ and all he accomplished on the cross on our behalf, the more the Holy Spirit will produce in us a joyful surrender of all that we have, and all that we are.
