The One Necessary Thing
Nothing is more important to our daily lives than hearing from God through his Word. Luke 10 recounts the story of Jesus visiting the home of Mary and Martha—Mary sat at Jesus’ feet, while Martha served. The problem was not Martha’s serving, but the fact that her focus was more on the work instead of the worship of Christ through her work. All that we do for Jesus flows from who we are in Jesus. By the grace of God, let us choose the one necessary thing—spending daily personal time in the Lord’s presence.
