Gospel Crisis, Gospel Clarity
Popular false teaching led Paul to summarize the gospel in his letter to the Galatians—no one is justified by works of the law, but only through faith in Jesus Christ. The quickest way to lose sight of the gospel is to attempt to add our own good works to Christ’s finished work. When we attempt to perform for God in order to earn something from him, we exempt ourselves from the joy and freedom of being justified by faith. May the crisis of our own unrighteousness lead us to the clarity of salvation through faith alone.
