Faith and Doubt
In chapters one and two of Habakkuk, the prophet laments over the violence and evil surrounding him–admitting that he doesn’t understand God’s plan. However, God is sovereign over all nations, all people, and all history, and like Habakkuk, we can take heart, knowing God is always doing more than we can see. We may never know or understand God’s timing, but we can walk by faith–remembering God’s character, and trusting that he is always working to accomplish his perfect plan, both for our good, and for his glory.
