The Cost of Following Jesus
In Matthew 16, Jesus asks his disciples the most important question in a believer’s life: “Who do you say that I am?” Afshin Ziafat explains that a follower of Christ will not settle for mere mental assent, because ultimately, the call on a believer’s life is much deeper than knowledge. The call of Christ on our lives is to follow him—to act upon our belief— not to be perfect, but to follow our perfect Savior who suffered and died in our place so that we will one day share in his glory.
