How to Walk Out of Church
Amidst the negativity and stress that bombard our culture, how are Christians to respond? Scripture speaks clearly: let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, and let the word of Christ dwell richly. In his letter to the Colossians, the Apostle Paul encouraged believers to put on their new identities—namely, the characteristics made possible through a relationship with Christ. This vertical focus on who Jesus graciously is for us, enabled by the inner-workings of the Holy Spirit, produces a joyful thankfulness visible to those around us. When we allow our hearts to be guarded, guided and kept by His peace and word, our lives will be marked by the wisdom that comes from knowing Him.
