Looking Foolish
Many associate the book of Proverbs with wisdom and understanding. Not surprisingly, then, the teachings from the Scripture also paint a starkly contrasting portrait of the fool and his or her foolish ways. Whether foolishness reveals itself through naivete, boasting, or even deliberate trouble-making, the resulting damage and destruction of stubborn and unteachable ways can be devastating. Thankfully, as we center our hearts on Jesus-driven love, we can begin to understand and apply the ways of wisdom through the Spirit’s guidance and God’s grace.
