Concerning Christ's Return
Right thinking about Christ’s return is life changing. In this sermon on 1 Thess. 5:1-11, Paul gives three helpful reminders to believers longing for Jesus’ second coming. First, we should not try to predict the specific date or time of Christ’s return; it is known only to God and will be sudden and unexpected. Second, believers should not forget that His return can happen at any moment. This truth should affect both the way we live and the way we think. Finally, we should not fear His return. Because Jesus paid for all our sins on the cross, we can look forward to that coming day as the day of our eternal salvation.
