The Greater Glory of Jesus
The book of Hebrews was written to encourage early Christians who, facing increased persecution, were tempted to return to Judaism. The unknown writer of Hebrews exhorts believers—then and now—to endure in faith by fixing our eyes and hearts on the person and work of Christ. Unlike Old Testament prophecy, Jesus is the full and final revelation of God. The resounding message of Hebrews is that Jesus is better than whatever may be tempting you to drift away.
