Turning the World Upside-Down
The resurrection of Christ altered human history forever. It was to Christ’s victory over sin and death that Paul testified in the synagogues, reasoning from the Scriptures that Christ was the Messiah. Some who heard Paul’s proclamation were persuaded to affirm Jesus’ messiahship, while others opposed his message. Like Paul, we are to engage unbelievers on the truth of the resurrection in light of Christ’s promise: that He will build His church and the gates of Hell will not prevail.
