In the beginning verses of Romans 6, we see that baptism is a picture of Christ’s death and burial. Through baptism, believers are united to Christ by faith, symbolizing the spiritual death to sin and the raising to new life. Baptism thus stands as an encouragement and reminder for all believers, that on account of Christ's death and resurrection, we are able to walk in newness of life.
