Moving on From Moses
Relating to God through the law turns Jesus into a mere lawgiver and Moses into a false savior. Living under the law, we encounter a terrifying judge we can never satisfy instead of experiencing the love of our heavenly father. As Paul explains in Galatians 3, the law serves to expose our desperate need for a Savior. However, with the arrival of Jesus, our fear finds rest in his finished work on the cross. Through Christ we have been rescued from the crushing weight of legalism and adopted into God’s family—no longer orphans, but beloved children of a loving Father.
