Wes & Nancy March 2026 Prayer Requests

* Please pray for Byron, Samuel, Marie and others in Comitancillo, Guatemala as they plan celebrations of the whole Bible finished in many languages in the area. Pray for good response to the Gospel message as they share it, and that they will be shining testimonies of Jesus’ love and salvation plan for all. Pray that any of Satan’s attempted interventions would be thwarted.

* Please continue to pray for Wes and the Hospice staff who care for him. As you can imagine, he is loved by them. His CNA, who comes three times a week, said that she so enjoyed coming to our home. Pray that we will be shining lights for Jesus as we interact with many medical workers right now. May the Lord give us the right words that will speak to their hearts.

* I’d appreciate prayers for my (Nancy) energy as I care for Wes and come to grips with all the changes. I do grieve along the way as I see the changes/decline in his health.

Parkside is such an encouragement to us. It has been so great to continue to share a relationship and not be “discontinued” after we had to stop our overseas ministry due to Wes’ Parkinson’s. Our love to all the staff and other friends there.

* Please continue to pray for our move into our oldest daughter’s house. Lots of details to handle in moving out of our townhome.

* Continue to pray for all the missionaries around the world, for their health and peace this time of year.

* Please pray for all the details as we move out of our townhome and in with our oldest daughter, Elisa, and her family who live nearby. This move is a great help to me in dealing with Wes’ poor memory issues and times when he has symptoms related to A-fib.

* Please continue to pray for all the missionaries working to get God’s Word written in people’s heart language, and for receptivity of the people they are translating for. There are often obstacles such as health or safety issues that make the work more difficult.

* Please pray for wisdom for our family and for the Lord to be the priority in our lives. There are so many distractions, it is easy to stray from the Lord’s desires for us.

* Continue to pray for the believers in Guatemala and around the world; that no matter the trials and temptations, they would follow Jesus with their whole hearts.

* Please continue to pray for the faithful use of the Scriptures that have been translated into people’s heart language, as well as those Scriptures that are ongoing in the translation projects. Many deal with health issues and other struggles d/t the conditions where they are translating. Pray for the growth of Godly churches, as well, as the Scriptures are taught.

* Please pray specifically for the Comitancillo area in Guatemala. That the excitement of having the whole Bible in their Mam language will continue and help the leadership to be faithful in holding celebrations for the whole Bible completion in other areas of Guatemala. That the Scriptures would continue to spread and grow the Mam people in their faith.

* We appreciate your continued prayers for Wes and our family as we care for him in his journey with Parkinson’s and dementia.

* Please continue to pray for strength and wisdom in dealing with Wes’ Parkinson’s and memory issues. We have many therapy appointments related to these, and I, Nancy, handle all the prep and driving.

* Please pray for Jesus to be the priority in our grown kids' lives. There are so many other pressures to deal with.

* Continue to pray for the gospel ministry in Comitancillo, for the Christian leaders to stay faithful to God’s calling.

Wes & Nancy March 2025 Prayer Requests

Praise God for a wonderful celebration of the Mam Bible in Comitancillo, Guatemala on January 25th. Over 1,000 Mams were in attendance, as well as 25 pastors from various denominations. It was a joy for Wes, me and our oldest daughter, Elisa, along with her family to be able to be there. (Just FYI, Wes had completed a literacy program and the New Testament translation into Mam in 1998. That dedication was held in 1999. He has been a consultant for the OT, but a group of Comitecos took the major part of the work upon themselves to complete!)

Please pray for continued widespread use of the Scriptures, as well as God to bless the desire of Comi pastors to see the various churches united more and more and the Scriptures to be lived out. It was beautiful to see what the Lord is doing there through His Word. Some of the Comi leaders will be going to other areas in Guatemala to celebrate other Bible completions in various indigenous languages. To God be the glory great things He has done!
