Supported Worker: Equipping Servants International (ESI) in Africa, Europe and the Americas
Details: ESI is a three-year mutual discipleship process. Believers study Scripture at home and then meet weekly in small groups to discuss what God is teaching them. There are 3,200 participants studying the Bible in 270 ESI groups in 35 countries in North and South America, Africa, and Europe. Pray for Pastor Jose Gutierrez, Pastor Sebastian Moreno, Pastor Edgar Mamani, Paulo da Silva, and Isaac Chitibwe. These leaders train and build up ESI teams around the world. Northern Mariana Islands (Pacific). Population: 43,541 Believers: 12.7%. The indigenous Chamorro majority were baptized as Catholics, but their deeper beliefs and worldview betray an underlying animist outlook. Pray that the light of the gospel may shine on this people. Although Catholicism’s influence is waning, evangelical outreach is only recent. Pray for the ministry of the numerous Bible-believing churches from various denominations. Saint Barthélemy (Caribbean). Population: 11,414 Believers: 2.3%. This island caters to the uber-rich, trading on its sophistication and isolation for its exclusivity. There is little interest in spiritual things. Pray that amid the boutiques, cafés, and villas there might awaken a hunger for spiritual reality and the opportunity to know God.
